Pool Repair

Salt Water Pool Repair

Low chlorine or a chlorinator warning calls for an assessment, not an automatic cell replacement.

See My PriceCell options explained·Clear treatment boundary

Start with the system and the water condition.

Share the chlorinator model, any warning on the display, and recent water readings if you have them. Explain whether you have noticed a change in the pool or only a message on the equipment.

Cabana starts with diagnosis and provides written findings before repair work. A warning or low chlorine reading alone does not tell you whether the cell needs cleaning, replacement, or neither.

Cell cleaning or repair?
Review the findings before choosing the work.

Look beyond an automatic cell swap.

Cell condition
01

Cell condition

Cleaning and replacement are different options. Ask what the assessment shows rather than assuming scale removal will fix every cell.

Controller messages
02

Controller messages

Record the exact warning and the chlorinator model. Display symptoms need interpretation before a replacement part is selected.

Flow messages and water readings
03

Flow messages and water readings

Include any flow warning and recent salt or chlorine readings. Use the installed model guidance, not a universal operating range.

How it works

From the problem to an approved repair.

1

Describe the chlorinator problem

Send the model, display messages, pool condition, and recent water readings if available.

2

Review the diagnosis

Cabana explains the findings and proposed work. Distinguish cell cleaning, a replacement part, and any separate water treatment.

3

Approve the defined work

Review the repair scope, parts and labor, and proposed schedule before work begins.

Cell cleaning is different from replacing the cell

Scale can interfere with chlorine production, and cleaning is a service Cabana offers. That does not mean every repair requires a cell clean or that cleaning will restore a worn-out cell. The useful question is what the assessment shows about this cell and the proposed work. Use the manufacturer guidance for its care rather than a universal acid-cleaning schedule. Leave cell removal and treatment to the service professional; you do not need to dismantle the system to request help.

A salt system is more than its cell

Keep the controller and any flow-related message in the conversation rather than assuming the cell is the only possible repair. Tell us exactly what the display says and include any recent equipment changes. A clean-looking cell or a running pump is useful context, not a diagnosis of the control board or flow sensor. Ask which component the findings identify and how the proposed replacement, if any, fits the existing system.

Equipment repair and water treatment are separate decisions

Restoring equipment operation does not establish that the pool water is balanced. A salt system generates chlorine; water testing and any required treatment remain part of caring for the pool. If the pool has turned green or needs additional treatment, make that clear when requesting service. Ask which water testing or treatment is part of the proposed job and which needs a separate quote. Ongoing pool maintenance is distinct from this equipment repair.

Our saltwater pool system hadn't been producing chlorine properly, and the water kept turning cloudy. Cabana's techs came out, cleaned the salt cell, adjusted the settings, and balanced the water. Within 24 hours, the pool looked like new again. They also taught me how to check the system between visits, which I really appreciated. If you have a saltwater pool in Torrance that needs consistent care, these guys are absolute pros.

Service from Jacob has been attentive. Is it possible for the reports to include chemical & salt levels as found and what was added as I received in the past? Also when the filter is cleaned and when the next cleaning might be expected? Thanks
